How can I check my level?
You can find a description of each level by clicking here.
Any registration for a level other than beginner requires approval from TDS instructors.
– WCS and Lindy Hop: We hold evaluations every year (in June and during the summer) to help you find the right level.
– For other dances: If you come from another school, the instructors will determine at the beginning of the year whether you are in the right level.
▶️ IN BEBOP:
Rock dancers (with at least 1 or 2 years of experience) can register directly for intermediate or advanced classes.
▶️ How can I catch up to a group class level?
– For those who wish to join a beginner class during the school year, we invite you to participate in one of our “Intensive Beginner” workshops or take private lessons.
– For other levels, private lessons will allow you to catch up on any missing concepts and movements.
Can I enroll during the school year?
▶️ Registration for a beginner’s class:
– For beginner’s classes starting in September:
By November, the group will have already made significant progress. If the class isn’t full and you’d like to enroll, you’ll need to catch up on the material you’ve missed through an intensive introductory workshop or private lessons.
For more information, contact us at contact@templeduswing.com.
– For classes starting in October, November, December, or later:
You can enroll.
▶️ Registration for other levels:
You can join any class at any time of the year provided that: the class is not full, your level matches the group’s level, and it does not disrupt the leader-to-follower ratio. The fee will be adjusted accordingly. Contact us.
Why take private lessons?
1- You want to progress at your own pace or supplement a group class by working on specific areas individually.
2- You want to join a group class during the school year, but you don’t have the required skill level. Private lessons will allow you to catch up on the material you’ve missed, partly based on your personal progress.
3- You want to work on a choreography for a dance event or a personal occasion (wedding, etc.)
Where can I find the school's IBAN?
Look no further! It’s right HERE.
Can I pay with vacation vouchers?
We’re sorry, but this payment method is not available.
How do I get an invoice?
You can find it in your personal account.
Can I get a refund?
As stated in our Terms of Service and Terms and Conditions:
No refunds will be issued in the event of absence, regardless of the reason (medical, professional, personal, strike, epidemic, pandemic, natural disaster, etc.).
What should you do if a class is full?
You have 3 options:
- Sign up for the class on the waiting list; our registration platform offers this option.
To see how many people are on the waiting list: in your personal account, click the “Add a class/event” button, then select the dance of your choice. - If your skill level allows, sign up for the selected class in the opposite role. For example, sign up as a leader if the class is full for followers. You will then take the class as a leader for the year.
- Choose a different class, or even a different dance. You can view the schedule here.
Where can I find the dates when there are no classes?
Dates when there are no classes may or may not coincide with school breaks and/or public holidays. Teachers will notify you of these dates.
All DATES OFF are displayed in your personal account by clicking on the calendar icon next to your class name.
You can also find them in our mobile app by logging into your account.
These dates may be changed in exceptional circumstances. You will be notified via message and by your teachers.
Your annual number of classes will remain unchanged.
If I miss a class, can I attend another one?
For reasons of scheduling, space, or class management, a missed class cannot be made up with another class during the same week.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing (casual or relaxed), shoes that you feel comfortable in (casual shoes, low-top sneakers, ballet flats, etc.), or flexible shoes suitable for dancing. No heels for swing dancing. Also, be sure to bring a spare T-shirt or shirt and deodorant if needed.
